Efficiency First California (formerly CBPCA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association organized in 2001.

CBPCA has been California’s premier home performance advocate and a leader of the home performance industry’s growth.  CBPCA has trained contractors and provides them access to a vibrant home performance contractor community and valuable industry-related knowledge.  Efficiency First California/CBPCA’s high-level industry partnerships benefit the home performance contractors and the homeowner.  CBPCA has participated in every Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program in California since 2002. Due to the recent merger with Efficiency First, we can continue to provide this valuable training and expand our resources to further promote and sustain the Home Performance industry in California.
